She was bedfast about five days although she had been in failing health with complications of old age for several years. He is survived by one son, Robert Fahnestock and wife Kathy of Clinton and one granddaughter, Lora Champlin of Topeka, Ks. He was married to Amelia Singer, who preceded him in death in 1958. He was a member of the Deepwater Church of the Brethren and the Clinton Senior Center. Alfred was a lifelong Henry County resident and was a farmer before he retired in 1973. She is survived by a brother, Benny Crowder and wife, Roberta of Deepwater, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Faber in May of 1989. Faber was born in Deepwater and had lived in this area most of her life. Faber will lie in state from noon to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery at Brownington.
